    Fix an I/O Device Error

Post by FnR on Sat Sep 01, 2012 6:33 pm

I have been facing this problem lately about I/O Device error
    that's (Input/Output) device error

This error basically happens with USBs and hard-disk, especially when u plug your hard-disk or usb and want to play a game on it (without installing to your computer) thats plug and play

so if you are facing the same problem, here is how to fix it

    1. Go to "control Panel" then to "Performance and Maintenance"
    2. Go to "system" then to "Device manager"
    3. Find your usb, or hard-disk with the error.
    4. If there is a red cross near the description of the device then click on "enable device", Test the drive
    5. If there was no red cross, and after testing (step 4) the device didnt work, then click "troubleshoot" in the general tab
    6. If the error still happens after you finish troubleshooting then click "update drive" in the drive tab
